Asus Zenfone Live L1 Android Go edition launched with 18:9 display, Snapdragon 425 chipset

first_imgEarlier this month, Asus announced the Zenfone Live L1, but kept the price of the phone undercover. The company is now revealing the cost of the phone. As expected the Zenfone Live L1 is a budget segment phone and comes with a starting price of IDR 1.4 million, which roughly translates to Rs 6,700 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model. The smartphone comes in three variants – one with 2GB RAM, second with 3GB RAM and third is the Android 8.1 Oreo Go edition. This makes the ZenFone Live L1 is the first Android Go phone by Asus.Note that the Asus Zenfone Live L1 is currently available only in Indonesia only. However, the company has announced that the smartphone will be launched in other markets as well, including India in the days to come. The Asus Zenfone Live L1 2GB RAM and 16GB storage model comes with a price tag of IDR 1.4 million, which is approximately around Rs 6,700. The 3GB RAM with 32GB storage sells for IDR 1.7 million, which roughly translates to Rs 8,150. The third variant is the Android go edition of the phone which is comparatively much cheaper than the other two models. Asus is yet to reveal the price of the 1GB RAM Android Go edition of the Zenfone Live L1, but, we expect the phone to cost around IDR 1.5 million which is roughly around Rs 7,200.Let’s take a quick look at the Zenfone Live L1 specs. The smartphone comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ display with 1080×2160 pixels resolution. Following the current trend in the smartphone market, the Zenfone Live L1 comes with an aspect ratio of 18:9. An Android Go phone coming with 18:9 display will be something interesting to see. This is because, most Android Go phones that are currently available in the market like the Nokia 1, Lava Z50 come with a very basic design. Both the Nokia 1 and Lava Z50 come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display.advertisementAs already highlighted, the Go edition of the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) aka Android Go based ZenUI 5.0 on top. This is for the 1GB RAM model. The Android Go edition of the phone comes with Google’s suite of apps which are specially designed for Android Go like — Maps Go, Google Go, and Files Go. On the other hand, the 2GB and 3GB RAM model run Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 on top out-of-the-box.
